Why spend so much on a flight when you can get a bargain flight and save money which you can spend when you reach your destination.
Taking a bargain flight is the new craze. It means you can travel abroad for probably less than you can travel in your own country by train. I recently found this out when I thought I’d take the train to the countryside, to the lakes or to Cornwall, for the weekend…(If you look carefully and book long in advance you can get bargain train tickets, so with some planning this can be a great option too) but I could often get a fantastic bargain flight if I went to Europe - so I’m off to Prague for the weekend!
Companies that are great to book a bargain flight on are Easy Jet, Ryan Air, BMI Baby, and Thomson Fly for example. Mostly the service on a bargain flight are minimum, but you have to keep reminding yourself this is the quickest and most bargain flight I could get (my one cost me £12) and I’m going to have a fantastic holiday. The only problem is sometimes the best bargain tickets sell out quickly, and your bargain ticket could cost over £100, for the same seat (as normally a bargain Flight does not have allocated seating) and the same dismal service. So don’t assume that just because you are booking on a bargain airline you are getting the best bargain flight; shop around! A bargain flight is a competitive area, and you may be able to get a better bargain flight on BA or Virgin, or one of the European Airlines like Lufthansa and Swiss Air for the same amount of money. So my best advice is to book early for the best bargain flight and shop around if you can’t find a budget flight that suits you.

Another great tip is to look at a bargain flight that is not flying from Heathrow or Gatwick. There are still some great bargain flights from these, but often your best bargain flight will fly from Stanstead, Manchester and Luton. Of course, factor in the amount for your journey to the airport, because this could end up costing more than your budget flight, but by taking the coach (there is a fantastic coach from central London to Luton, for example) or booking your train early, you could save yourself money, to the extent that it is worth doing to get a truly Bargain flight.
Often European cities have great bargain flight deals, but don’t be surprised if you can’t get a bargain flight to further afield. Recently my friend found a bargain flight, and hotels for Morocco for less than £300. She booked well in advance for her bargain flight and accommodation, and they were looking for a great bargain, so could be flexible on location, as there are some great bargains for those who research. A bargain flight to Mauritius is another great choice, especially those looking for an exotic location. Try bargain flight to South Africa as well for a historic location.
North America is a popular choice for holiday makers, but rather go to the usual places in the states try finding bargain flight by going to less well known places in USA. There are many bargain flight to Nashville, just as there are bargain flight to Houston. But there can also be a bargain flight to Orlando and Las Vagas. Or try looking for Bargain Flight to America’s friendly neighbour Canada. Try finding bargain flight to Vancouver, bargain flight to Toronto, and Bargain Flight to Calgary. Canada is especially great for skiing, so check it out for some great Bargain Flight for a bargain ski holiday.
Europe is a great place for a Bargain Flight, so check out a bargain flight to great capital cities, for example Warsaw and Vienna, or some of the smaller cities have great offers, such as flights to Naples, Florence, and Nice. Don’t forget to look at places you may not think are traditional holiday destinations, such as a Bargain Flight to Zurich and other more business cities can be surprisingly great cities to visit, especially if you’re trying to get away from tourists. Some popular tourist destinations can offer great bargains, so look at a bargain flight to Greece and Athens, or try flights to Malta. A bargain flight to Ibiza can be a great deal for clubbers, but the island has a lot more besides nightlife to offer, so everyone should check out Ibiza. Bargain flights to Ireland are great too, as Ireland offers great countryside and Cities such as Dublin. Don’t forget, you can also get great bargain flights within the UK. Try to find bargain flight to Newcastle for example. For travellers on a very strict budget, try travelling to close European cities on a bargain flight on the same day… therefore you don’t need hotels and you can even take a packed lunch for a great day out.
So if you love to travel, try a bargain flight and don’t be afraid to check out somewhere new and adventurous for an even better bargain!
